What is a Septic Tank?

A septic system is a small treatment plant located near the house or home. It is used specifically for processing household sewage or wastewater to safely release it into the environment without polluting it.

It is used when homes are not connected to a public sewer system. When properly constructed and maintained, it can last for decades and help protect the environment.

Once wastewater from sinks, bathrooms, and showers is released from the drainage system, a septic tank receives and stores it before it’s released into the soil, when treated with microbes, digestion will occur.

Only a biodigester septic tank fully breaks down waste to water as it is specifically made to digest waste completely. Most septic tanks separate liquid from waste, and that’s why many home and apartment owners in the USA are forced to call exhauster services to empty the tanks, after some years as they get filled up.

The most common types of septic tanks today are concrete and plastic tanks. Each has advantages and disadvantages, depending on your personal needs and preferences.

I want to present you with the best alternative to a septic tank and it is a toilet biodigester. After reading its benefits, you will want to install it or convert your septic tank to biodigester since it offers a permanent solution to your wastewater problems.

It requires no maintenance, is cheaper to install, lasts up to 20 years, and never needs an exhauster service once constructed. It also has no smell, requires less space, and can be constructed on any soil.

These biodigester toilet systems are ideal for homes that want a permanent solution for disposing of their wastewater plus those who have been using septic tanks for years and want to convert over to a more efficient system of a toilet biodigester that requires no maintenance and produces no bad odors.

What is a Toilet Biodigester?

A biodigester is a system containing living microorganisms that break down waste products completely. Once constructed, these systems typically require no external inputs (like electricity or maintenance, unlike a septic tank, where you have to call exhauster services once it is full) and have a higher treatment efficiency than regular septic systems.

It Completely Breaks Down the Waste

A properly constructed toilet biodigester will completely break down all forms of wastewater, including urine and feces. By completely breaking down waste matter, it does not produce any smell, unlike a septic tank which leaves most of the waste undigested and thus produces a foul odor.

With a toilet biodigester, there is no more odor. This also means that you will never require the services of an exhauster, which will save you money in the long run.

It has no Maintenance Cost

While a septic tank requires regular servicing and emptying, a toilet biodigester requires no maintenance at all. This is especially advantageous for people living in states or rural areas that do not have access to easy maintenance services or exhauster services.

No more exhausting services bills that come every few months. Biodigesters are the solution to all of the above problems. The wastewater is completely broken down by bacteria that live in the biodigester. The bacteria thrive off of wastematter and naturally decompose it into water.

    • Hello Anonymous, biodigesters are not affected by floods unlike septic tanks since we always seals them completely for digestion of bacteria to take place hence water cannot enter them.
